1. Mike Huckabee -- 23%This fits in with my thinking: that should Huckabee stay out, Newt is in great position in the Palmetto State. The fact that Haley Barbour -- who has done a lot of behind-the-scenes, on-the-ground activity -- does not register very high could be worrisome for the Mississippi Governor.

The Greenville County Republican Party, the largest county party in the state, is conducting another presidential straw poll next weekend. Two other influential county parties, Charleston and Lexington, will hold straw polls later in the month.
Huckabee definitely needs to stay out. I don't want any Republican candidate talking about social issues, or family values. Quite frankly I get annoyed when politicians talk about such things, then we end up seeing them caught in some scandal.
ReplyDeleteWhoever comes out talking about family values, or holds on to rigid and dead conservative social issues- or falls into Trump's trap talking about birther rubbish, then be prepared to have Obama as president again. I'm an independent- didn't vote for Obama, and don't like him, and I want him to be a one term president... But Republicans always end up shooting themselves in the foot with dumb crap.
