Gingrich mentions books "that mattered" to the conservative movement

He specifically mentions The Conscience of a Conservative, for its' impact on moving the Republican Party to the right; Losing Ground, which was about welfare policy; and The Way the World Works, because it "translat[ed]" Hayek and other Austrian school economists "into understandable" language for Americans.
